AFAMILY.

A LAND. A LEGACY IN THE MAKING

At the foot of the Andes, our family’s story took root.

TWO LINES.

ONE HERITAGE.

Two figures of Argentine independence converged in a single family.

The result: a legacy of service and extraordinary wine.

1816

A NATION DECLARES ITS INDEPENDENCE

Argentina declares independence from Spain.

1817

From Mendoza, General José de San Martin leads the Army over the Andes to Chile.

THE ARMY CROSSES THE ANDES

1818

Don Isidro Maza establishes his family in Mendoza, Uco Valley. A new beginning takes root.

THE MAZA FAMILY PUTS DOWN ROOTS

THE TWO ANCESTRAL LINES

JUAN AUGUSTÍN MAZA

(1784 - 1830)

Statesman and lawyer. Signer of the Declaration of Independence and the Congress of Tucumán.

Ally of José de San Martin and supporter of the Army of the Andes.

Interim Governor of Mendoza in 1824.

GENERAL MIGUEL ESTANISLAO SOLER

Promoted to general by José de San Martin in 1816.

Led the vanguard of the Army of the Andes, crossing the Andes ahead of the main army in 1817.

(1783 - 1849)

Two separate threads of the independence generation, woven together by time, family, and the land.

UCO VALLEY.

A LAND MADE FOR VINES.

THE LAND THAT SHAPES US

Uco Valley’s abundant sunshine, dry climate, Andean snowmelt, and centuries-old irrigation channels have supported winemaking since colonial times.

This is the land that has sustained the Maza family for generations, and continues to inspire all that we do.
